Cyber Crime Expert to Speak at Brown School of Business and Leadership
Craig Porter, former FBI Special Agent and Computer Forensic Examiner at the San Diego Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory, will be the featured speaker at the Brown School of Business and Leadership’s Career Pathways Seminar to be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. He will share the unique insights he learned over his more than 20 years in federal law enforcement, during which he handled some of the nation’s most sensitive and highest-priority terrorism and cybersecurity cases.
Widely regarded as an expert on computer forensic analysis, Porter is known for his keen understanding of practical application of analytics in uncovering cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits. He holds master’s degrees in Information Systems and International Relations and Finance. He is certified as a computer forensic examiner by the FBI and the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), and holds SANS/GIAC, CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications.
